Written as a starting point and not reviewed by the church or by legal counsel. A parish website with no accounts, no payments and no user-submitted content needs very little here, so this is deliberately short. Please confirm it with the diocese before the site goes live.
This website is published by St. Thomas' on the Bayou Episcopal Church, Monroe, Louisiana, to tell people about the parish and how to join us. By using it you agree to what follows.
Using this site
You are welcome to read, print and share these pages. Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, gain access to parts of it that are not public, or use it to send anyone unsolicited messages.
There are no user accounts on this site, nothing is sold through it, and it does not accept content from visitors. The only thing you can send us is a message through the contact form.
About the information here
We try to keep service times, events and contact details accurate, but a parish calendar changes — sometimes at short notice, for weather or for a funeral. If you are travelling to us for a particular service, please telephone (318) 343-4089 to confirm.
Nothing on this site is legal, financial, medical or pastoral advice. If you need pastoral care, please speak to our clergy directly rather than relying on a web page.
Photographs, text and artwork
The text and photographs here belong to the parish and to the people who made them. Please ask before reproducing them elsewhere, particularly the photographs, which show identifiable parishioners and children who consented to appear on our site.
Some artwork accompanying the blog posts is by Steve Erspamer, published by Liturgy Training Publications, and is used with its own credit. It is not ours to license on. The St. Thomas' shield and the Episcopal Church shield are used under the terms that apply to Episcopal parishes.
